Dr Reid
Hi, I'm Dr Reid. I am a specialist in Physics, but I love teaching general science to S1 and S2 pupils, helping you develop important scientific skills and generally spark your interest in life, the universe and everything.I trained to become a teacher in 2015 after 15 years working in science research. I studied the physics of ice and snow, which took me on some great field trips to the Antarctic, the Arctic and the Alps (I like cold places). In my spare time I like music, cycling, paddle-boarding and mountaineering with family and friends. I also help to run the school's outdoors activities, such as leading hiking and camping expeditions for the Duke of Edinburgh's Award - I hope to see some of you out on those! -

Mr Treanor
Hi, I'm Mr Treanor and I'm a Physics and Science teacher at DHS, though you may also have seen me in the ICT and maths department in the past!
I became a teacher in 2018 and before that I studied Physics and Astronomy at Glasgow University. My favourite topic was learning about galaxies and all the cosmological bodies that make up the universe around us.
In my spare time I play football and love to go hiking as much as I can. I also run the Duke of Edinburgh Award at DHS. If you're S3 or above, give me a shout if this is something you're interested in. You can find me in A002!
