The Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme is a fantastic opportunity to develop important skills outside of the classroom.

It is open to all in S3 - S6 and runs as an extra-curricular group and senior elective.

In order to achieve the award, pupils will spend time volunteering, furthering a skill or hobby and undertaking a physical activity as well as completing expeditions around Scotland and beyond!

Pupils can complete the Bronze award in S3, Silver in S4 and Gold when aged 16. We’ve had over 200 pupils start the award in the last three years!

Everybody is encouraged to take part in the award scheme, it’s a lot of fun and is a very highly regarded achievement!
