Business and Computing Faculty
Welcome to the Business and Computing webpage!
Pupil of the Week
Our Pupil of the Week praise system allows pupils to be nominated and given recognition for their hard work and determination. This includes the pupils being showcased on our Twitter page and our PTC Mr Argo will contact home to let parents/carers know how well their child has been performing.
Supported Study
The 2024-25 study support timetable will be updated in August 2023.
Opportunities
Upcoming opportunities will be posted throughout the 24-25 session.
Future Asset - Investment Competition
Our previous senior girls loved working in the Future Assets challenge. They worked with a financial mentor and gained really valuable experience in the growing financial investment market for women.
Entering the Growing Future Assets competition involved working with Future Assets to come up with ways to invest in different businesses. The teams can win up to £1000 for our school and vouchers for their team.
Our current S3 pupils have signed up to the 2024 competition and cannot wait to get started.
Ernst & Young Work Experience

Robotics Workshop - Edinburgh University
S2 Computing students had the opportunity to develop their digital literacy skills by taking part in a informative robotics workshop put on by Edinburgh University. The pupils really enjoyed working along side the University and were very grateful to have an insight.
School Trips
Business and Computing London Trip 2023
This was an excellent trip that included the pupils getting a business trip to White Heart Lane where we learned about how the business operates and how they have tried to grow as an international organisation by developing their product portfolio by hosting concerts and NFL games.
We also attended Thorpe Park to get a marketing talk where we found out about how Thorpe Park has been able to overcome the challenges of covid-19, the different products they have on offer to attract multiple ages and tried a few of the rides.
The pupils also went to the Museum of Brands where they learned about how different brands have developed over the years and then had a tour of the Microsoft Store where they worked on a Minecraft project.
A note of interest for the London school trip 2024 has been sent home with pupils.
